Hand dyed right here in Halifax, Mini Maiden is a gorgeous single-ply blend of silk and wool that packs a punch with 400m on a single skein. This yarn has a beautiful glossy look, with wonderful softness and drape. Perfect for shawls and fine winter accessories!

Handmaiden designs their colourways so that variegated and solid colours can work together well. Get creative pairing different colourways for striping or colourblocking!

Handmaiden designs all their colourways, and employs emerging artists and recent graduates like textile artists, painters, and illustrators who have a natural affinity for combining and mixing colour. PROJECT IDEAS

Mini Maiden would be lovely for drapey garments and shawls. Holding two strands together gives you a DK/Worsted weight and creates a lovely effect with the variegation. As well, holding it with a mohair softens the variegation slightly and adds a beautiful halo to your work.
