Made in the oldest wool mill in Canada, Heritage from Briggs & Little is a classic workhorse type of yarn that's spun from 100% Canadian wool. Hearty and rustic, this wool yarn is perfect for everything from that quintessential cabled sweater to rug hooking to tapestry weaving, and anything in between.

HOW IT'S MADE

This yarn is made in Canada with 100% domestic Canadian sheepswool in the Briggs & Little mill in York Mills, New Brunswick. The mill was first started in 1857, making it Canada's oldest woolen mill. PROJECT IDEAS

We think Heritage is suited for pretty much any kind of project, from knitted or crocheted garments and accessories, to hooked rugs or weaving! It also suits a wide range of skill levels from beginner to advanced. If you find rustic wools to be itchy, you can add a strand of mohair or alpaca to soften it up. Heritage also "blooms" quite a bit after its first wash, making it great for colourwork projects as well!
